PATTY BIRD has been with Theatre at the Center for over five years and is delighted to be part of THE FOX ON THE FAIRWAY - a production full of shenanigans. Favorite roles include: Germaine in Picasso at the Lapine Agile, Louise Maske in The Underpants, Marcy/Ruby in Jim Henry’s The Angels of Lemnos, Beth in A Lie of the Mind, May in Fool for Love, title role in The Heidi Chronicles, Fool in King Lear, and numerous other roles – both on and off the stage. In addition to her many stage roles, Patty has enjoyed many on-camera credits. Patty graduated from Valparaiso University with her B.A. in Theatre & Television Performance. Thanks to the entire TATC staff and crew for making great theatre happen. Special thanks to Chuck for his constant encouragement, support and love – and Sydney, Logan & Blake for always filling her with energy, laughter and love!

Photo Flash: NEW COUNTRY Celebrates Midwest Premiere at The Den Theater


Stand-up comedian, actor and writer Mark Roberts returns home for the Midwest Premiere of NEW COUNTRY at The Den Theater, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. The no-holds-barred show runs now through May 14, 2016. Under the direction of Ian Streicher, the uncensored comedy about a country star's Nashville bachelor party going wildly amiss is sure to entertain audiences looking to push the proverbial envelope for a moving and hilarious night out. South Bend Civic Theatre Presents CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, Now thru 5/24


One of the masterworks by legendary playwright Tennessee Williams steams up South Bend Civic Theatre in May. In the play, Big Daddy Pollitt, the richest cotton planter in the Mississippi Delta, is about to celebrate his 65th birthday. He is distressed by the rocky relationship between his beloved son Brick, an aging football hero who has turned to drink, and his beautiful and feisty wife Maggie. As the hot summer evening unfolds, the veneer of Southern gentility slips away as unpleasant truths emerge and greed, lies and suppressed sexuality reach a boiling point. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1955 and is among Tennessee Williams' most popular plays.

Theatre at the Center Sets Education Through Theatre Summer Workshops


Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, Northwest Indiana's only professional theatre, will host sensational summer workshops for young theater enthusiasts. The workshops will not only provide professional instruction on acting, singing, choreography and theatre, but will help students build their public speaking skills and confidence by using more nontraditional, artistic teaching methods. The workshops for summer 2014 will begin in June through July.

Inspired by the blockbuster 1960 Roger Corman film, the monster musical hit LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS comes to Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, now through August 19. Theatre at the Center's production, boasting glorious refurbishments of the plants from the original New York production, is directed and choreographed by Stacey Flaster. Produced in association with First Folio Theatre, this heartwarming comedy runs through June 10 at 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana. Directed by William Pullinsi, MAKING GOD LAUGH stars Chicago favorites Peggy Roeder, Craig Spidle, Kevin McKillip, Joe Foust and Erin Noel Grennan.

The musical play telling the story of legendary country singer Patsy Cline and her most devoted fan, ALWAYS... PATSY CLINE kicks off Theatre at the Center's 2012 season. Based on a true story of this unparalleled pioneer for female performers and a fan from Houston she befriended in a Texas honky-tonk, the production previewed February 23, opened February 26 and runs through April 1.

The musical adaptation of the popular holiday favorite 'Miracle on 34th Street' will bring holiday cheer to Theatre at the Center's 20th Anniversary, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, November 11 through December 19, with the press performance on Sunday, November 14 at 7 p.m. The production will be directed by William Pullinsi.
