Comedy, crime, and quick wits describe every minute of SHEAR MADNESS. This piece is the longest running play in American theater for a reason. It combines a little of all your theatrical favorites with some location-specific additions and even audience participation.

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre is kicking off its 2022 Season a bit early with tonight’s opening of Shear Madness! The hilarious “whodunit” is back by popular demand. The updated, locally-set play includes a murder that the audience pins on one of four suspects.

Featuring a unique blend of madcap improvisation and spine-tickling mystery, and set right here in Indianapolis, the Beef & Boards production features local references throughout the show and up-to-the-minute spontaneous humor. 

A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens' timeless classic about redemption against all odds, comes to the Beef & Boards stage starting Dec. 1. This one-hour production features traditional carols and is on stage for just 10 performances through Dec. 21.

Chef Amy Sins of Langlois, local chefs and restaurant team members have come together yet again with the ingredients, expertise and manpower necessary to prepare thousands of meals. These meals will be distributed to Florence impacted communities as they rebuild their homes and lives.

Michael Shelton, executive director of Embracing Our Differences, announced that the organization's annual luncheon is set for Tuesday, December 5, noon (registration is at 11:30 a.m.), at Michael's On East, 1212 South East Avenue in Sarasota. Sponsored by the Gulf Coast Community Foundation and co-chaired by Carol Buchanan and Graci and Dennis McGillicuddy, this annual event pays homage to the organization's acclaimed educational initiatives. The Sarasota County Commission awarded Embracing Our Differences a $50,383 Tourist Development Cultural/Arts grant to help fund its 2018 exhibition season, which runs March 30-May 31 in Sarasota's Island Park. For 14 years, Embracing Our Differences has drawn on the passion and perception of artists, children and others to create powerful statements of diversity and acceptance in its annual outdoor public art exhibition consisting of 45 billboard-sized works of art and accompanying quotes. The scale and impact of this outdoor exhibition has continued to grow, attracting more than 2.5 million visitors since its inception. This exhibit is the heart of a year-round program of activities designed to use art as a catalyst to create awareness of and promote diversity.

Embracing Our Differences recently partnered with the 2017 World Rowing Championships in a new initiative called "Adopt a Team."

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre opens its 44th Season with the Indiana debut of Shear Madness, the first of four new shows on its stage in 2017. This play, known as 'America's favorite comedy whodunit,' will have audiences rolling in the aisles as they help detangle the clues of a murder mystery in a not-so-typical hair salon. A line of school busses is now a familiar sight outside of FST's Keating Theatre.  As a partner of FST's Dialogues on Diversity, Embracing Our Differences is providing free bussing for students to attend all special student matinee performances of FST's Mainstage hit, BUTLER. This is made possible through their Make-A-Day-Of-It! program which allows for free field trips for students to experience a variety of arts education programs.
