Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival continues with A Tale of Two Cities, Cobbled Together by the Brothers Lovejoy. Performances will run Thursday, October 21 at 7:30 pm, Friday, October 22 at 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 23 at 8:00 pm, and Sunday, October 24 at 2:00pm.

A Tale of Two Cities Cobbled Together by the Brothers Lovejoy, written and directed by Craig Fols, is an unconventional version of Charles Dickens’ classic, as re-enacted by two brothers played by Ezra Barnes (Avery Lovejoy) and Michael Gabriel Goodfriend, (Bunce Lovejoy).

Play On Shakespeare today announces an expansive list of compelling actors and dynamic directors confirmed to participate in the Play on! Festival, presented in association with Classic Stage Company (CSC) and Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF). Play on! features 39 readings of new, work-in-progress translations of Shakespeare's plays into contemporary modern English by some of today's most exciting playwrights-May 29-June 30 at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater at CSC (136 E. 13th Street). In 2015, Oregon Shakespeare Festival launched an ambitious 39-play, three-year commissioning project, Play on!, tasking 36 playwrights-more than half of whom were women and playwrights of color, each paired with a dramaturg-to translate Shakespeare's canon in celebration of the enduring impact of the Bard's work. Supported by a generous grant from the Hitz Foundation and inspired by long-time patron Dave Hitz's passion for Shakespeare, the project was and continues to be led by Lue Morgan Douthit. Henrik Ibsen's 'Enemy of the People' is now being presented by Centenary Stage Company (CSC) through March 3. The play is adapted by John Alan Wyatt and splendidly directed by Anne Occhiogrosso. The CSC production of Ibsen's classic, yet timeless tale is praiseworthy for its excellent staging and outstanding cast.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open the world premiere of Idris Goodwin's The Way the Mountain Moved, directed by May Adrales, on July 14 in the Thomas Theatre. Preview performances are July 10, 12 and 13, and the play runs through Oct. 28, 2018.

General ticket sales are underway for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's (OSF) 83rd season, which begins with the first preview on Feb. 16 and continues through Oct. 28. The 2018 season features four plays by William Shakespeare, a re-imagined classic musical, two West Coast premieres, one U.S. premiere and two world premieres as well as a host of events and opportunities to further engage with the onstage works.

OSF's journey through Shakespeare's history tetralogy marches on with the second part of Henry IV joining the repertory, with previews beginning July 4. Once again, the Festival's intimate Thomas Theatre will play host to the political intrigue of early 15th-century England.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open William Shakespeare's Timon of Athens, directed by Amanda Dehnert, on July 31 at 1:30 p.m. in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. Preview performances are offered July 28 and 29. This will be only the fourth time that OSF has presented Timon of Athens in its 81-year history, the last time being in 1997. This also marks OSF's fourth completion of Shakespeare's canon since 1935.

The heavens appear to open above the Minneapolis audience when a cloud filled sky hovers over the stage in the' Guthrie Theater's Wurtele Thrust Stage this winter. Artistic debuts abound in the company's glorious new production of William Shakespeare's Pericles, named one of the Washington Post's 2015 top ten productions in American theater. The production arrives in association with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and The Folger Theatre where incoming Artistic Director Joseph Haj transports the city to this ancient tale placed on and around the Mediterranean Sea where redemption washes like water over Shakespeare's heroes and heroines at the story's end.

PERICLES, on stage at the Folger Theatre, is a gorgeous and focused production - this from a work that travels through decades and around the Mediterranean in a plot that layers incest, mistaken death, pirates, murder plots and selling a woman into prostitution. But in director Joseph Haj's capable hands the lighter moments bring balance and relief so in the end PERICLES reminds us of both the deep challenges and moments of beauty and light in the human experience.

Shakespeare's Pericles, as directed by Joseph Haj from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, will be restaged at the Folger Theatre from November 13 through December 20, 2015. This fantastical tale of a father's heroic odyssey stars Washington, D.C. native Wayne T. Carr in the title role.
