Mark is a regular actor and a director on the Panto circuit. He’s played lead comic for the last 12 seasons, from Buttons in Cinderella (The Lowry) to Sleeping Beauty (Theatre by the Lake, Keswick), Aladdin (Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering) and Snow White (Hayes Beck/Qdos).

Other credits include: A Night in Provence (Mill at Sonning), Fletcher in Porridge (The Lowry), Mamaji in Life of Pi (Greenwich), Feste in Twelfth Night (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), The BFG (Dukes, Lancaster), Dangerous Lady (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Up’N’Under (Chesterfield Pomegranate), ’Allo ‘Allo! (UK tour) and Run for Your Wife (Vienna’s English Theatre).

Television includes: Hornblower, Strutter, Crimewatch and Win, Lose or Draw.

Commercial work includes: Swiss tourism campaign, Branflakes, Genes Reunited, Nige Lawson for Virgin Trains,
the Mariachi in the McCoy’s Muchos advert and Capital One commercial.

Matt Lucas stepped in to play the role of Thénardier for a few weeks when Gerard Carey was unable to perform before the first preview of the new production of Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre last month due to vocal injury caused by contracting pneumonia.
