Luis Bravo BIO

Luis Bravo is a renowned Argentinean choreographer, director, and producer who has made a significant impact on the world of dance. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1952, Bravo began his dance training at the age of six. He studied ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and by the age of 18, he was dancing professionally with the Ballet del Plata.
In the early 1970s, Bravo moved to New York City to pursue his dance career. He quickly became a sought-after performer and choreographer, working with some of the most prominent dance companies in the city. He also began to develop his unique style of dance, which blended traditional Argentinean folk dance with modern dance techniques.
In 1983, Bravo founded his own dance company, Tango Argentino. The company's first production, also titled Tango Argentino, was a huge success, receiving critical acclaim and selling out performances across the globe. The show featured traditional Argentinean tango music and dance, and it helped to revive interest in the dance form around the world.
Bravo continued to produce and direct shows for Tango Argentino throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In 1994, he created the show Forever Tango, which premiered on Broadway to great success. The show featured a mix of traditional tango music and dance, as well as new interpretations of the dance form.
Forever Tango has since been performed around the world, and Bravo has continued to direct and produce new productions of the show. In 2013, he directed a new version of the show for Broadway, which featured a cast of 16 dancers and musicians.
In addition to his work with Tango Argentino and Forever Tango, Bravo has also worked as a choreographer and director for a variety of other productions.
