Five Boroughs Music Festival announces its Spring 2024 Season with three diverse programs showcasing the richness of NYC's five boroughs.

Famed Argentine dancer/choreographer Guillermina Quiroga, one of the world's leading tango dancers, will be joined by her longtime partner, Mariano Logiudice, dancers Adriana Salgado and Orlando Reyes, and the Latin Grammy award-winning Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet (bass, violin, bandoneon, piano) in Tango in Concert, a brilliant program that brings to life the passion, soul and beauty of Argentine tango.

NYK Productions is happy to announce that 'FOREVER TANGO' will be at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium on February 9th and 10th. Sensuous and sophisticated, the tango inhabits a world where everything can be said with the flick of a leg, the tug of a hand, the tap of a foot and the arch of an eyebrow. Created and directed by Luis Bravo, FOREVER TANGO was voted Best Touring Musical by Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle in San Francisco where it played an unprecedented 92 weeks at the Theater on the Square and has returned season after season. Truly an international event, FOREVER TANGO was awarded the coveted Simpatia Prize at the 1996 Spoleto Festival in Italy.

From Luis Bravo, the Tony-nominated creator of Forever Tango - "an Argentinian-tasting menu of music, moves, mystery and mucho sensuality" (New York Daily News) - comes this new production. The Argentinean musicians, true masters of the bandoneon, join some of the finest Tango dancers in the world to tell the story of the art of Tango. Born in Buenos Aires in the late 1800's, it was popularized in the brothels as a dance of loneliness, passion and lust. Now an art form known around the world, few stage it with the theatrical flair of Bravo. It's the perfect evening of dance for Valentine's Day.

The 20th Anniversary World Tour for FOREVER TANGO will kick off at the Emblematic Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco this Holiday Season (Dec. 22to Dec. 31) with multiple cities and dates across America including LosAngeles, Seattle, LasVegas, and then moving on to Mexico, Canada, Europe and Arab Emirates among many other cities worldwide.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Quinn, will present Arrabal, with a book written by John Weidman, music by Gustavo Santaolalla / Bajofondo, choreographed by Julio Zurita, and directed and co-choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.

Entitled 'Tango Vivos,' and presented by the trans-national management team Triplespeak in association with Lacoren Productions, the evening will celebrate the tango as a regenerating art form, welcoming new interpretations and in uences.

Starring Anna Trebunskaya and Dimitry Chaplin of 'Dancing with the Stars' - and featuring vocals by Marcela Rios -  FOREVER TANGO features 12 world-class tango dancers and an on-stage 11-piece orchestra anchored by the bandoneon - the accordion-like instrument that is the mainstay of tango music - in an evening that celebrates the passionate music and dance of Argentina.
