The Phantom of the Opera celebrated 35 years on Broadway last night, January 26, at the Majestic Theatre. The production opened on January 26, 1988. Earlier this year, on April 22, The Phantom of the Opera, reached a milestone that no other Broadway show has even come near. Phantom, the longest-running show in Broadway history, became the first Broadway show EVER to reach #13,000 performances. This is just one of many incredible achievements made by the show since it opened on Broadway over three decades ago.

The producers of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG announced today that the Broadway musical will play its final performance Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 2pm.

Kenneth Kantor will temporarily take over for Marc Kudisch as Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from September 24th through November 27th
