Kelsey Andres BIO

Kelsey Andres is an actor, dancer, and singer who currently resides in New York City, NY. She is a native New Yorker then moved to beautiful Orange County, California when she was nine. Her Grandmother is one of the oldest living original Rockettes and so she always knew performing and dancing was in her blood! She started dancing when she was three years old and has never stopped since. As a kid she found her passion for musical theatre and by age seven she knew every lyric to Grease, Bye Bye Birdie, and A Chorus Line and didn't mind belting them to every person she met. Not much has changed.

Kelsey's been seen in new works, "Up Here", "The Last Goodbye", regionally in "Hello, Dolly!", "42nd St", "The Music Man", "Annie", "9 to 5", "Anything Goes", and more. Kelsey graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Psychology from The Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL.

SLEEPING BEAUTY, the magical retelling of the Brothers Grimm tale, will be presented from April 23 through June 7 at Drury Lane Theatre for Young Adults, 100 Drury Lane, in Oakbrook Terrace. Beautifully reimagined by Marc Robin, the beloved musical is certain to delight and surprise young audiences. The production is directed by Jeff Award winner Tammy Mader (Sunset Boulevard, Gypsy, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Hairspray at Drury Lane Theatre). BWW Reviews: Boho's PIPPIN Does The Magic At Theater Wit


For the next four weekends (until November 13, 2011), this year's unofficial Chicagoland Stephen Schwartz festival continues at the Theater Wit multiplex facility on Belmont Avenue. That's where the Bohemian Theatre Ensemble, aka Boho Theatre, has mounted a thoroughly relevant and highly riveting production of the first show the lyricist and composer wrote (while he was in college) and the first to make it to Broadway, where it opened in 1972 in a legendary production staged by Bob Fosse at the height of his power.
