The Actors Fund and affordable housing developer Thomas Safran & Associates, broke ground on The Hollywood Arts Collective, a $120 million project that will include 151 units of affordable housing for artists, the Glorya Kaufman Theater, rehearsal studios, non-profit arts office space and a new home for The Actors Fund Western Region Headquarters.

The Actors Fund today announced the promotion of Keith McNutt to Executive Director of The Fund's Western Region. Prior to running their west coast operations, a position McNutt has held since 2006, he served for a decade as head of The Actors Fund's HIV/AIDS Initiative in their New York office.

The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead Program presented The 2018 Looking Ahead Awards on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the magnificent Taglyan Cultural Complex in Hollywood. Hosted by Ashley Argota and Garrett Clayton, The Looking Ahead Awards honors leaders in the current and former young performer community who inspire the world by living the program's core values of growth, education, leadership and community service.

The Ovation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Ovation TV, has recognized the work of five non-profit arts organizations with $125,000 in awards as part of its 2017 Creative Economy innOVATION Grant Awards Program. In its fourth grant cycle, the program focused on identifying model nonprofit arts organizations that cultivate and support artists and enterprises in the creative industries through capacity-building, accelerating partnerships, and/or fiscal support. Legendary performer Carol Channing has been named the honoree for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry.

On Sunday, May 15, The Actors Fund gathered at the home of Western Council member Ilyanne Morden Kichaven and her husband Mike for their annual west coast celebration of Edwin Forrest Day and Shakespeare's birthday. Broadway Icon and nine time TONY Award winner, Tommy Tune, hosted The Actors Fund's 17th Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party at the Taglyan Cultural Complex on Sunday, June 9th, 2013. Produced and written by David Rambo and directed by Luke Yankee, the event featured the only approved live TONY Award feed direct from New York to California, allowing guests of the Actors Fund to view the awards before the rest of West Coast viewed the delayed broadcast.

Frank Wildhorn returned to his roots at the Pantages Theatre, where he got his start in the lobby of the Pantages and played to a group that included J.
