Sierra Stages will present The Revolutionists, a blistering comedy that follows four famous women as they navigate the perils and politics of The French Revolution. Presented as the next installation of Theater by the Book, The Revolutionists runs one night only on Wednesday, September 13 7pm at Miners Foundry in downtown Nevada City, CA.

Comedic love triangles, a mid-life crisis and dysfunctional family strife are key ingredients that serve up Placer Repertory Theater’s performance of Anton Chekhov’s tragicomedy, Uncle Vanya: Scenes from a Country Life, presented publicly September 8 and 9 as the Placer Rep 2023-2024 season opener.

While the surprises for 2024 are yet to be revealed, Placer Repertory Theater has revealed the 2023 events and shows to occur through December 2023 as part of the 2023-2024 season. 

House Of Fates and The Stonehouse will present Gold Can't Love you Back, an immersive, Gold Rush Era musical written by Nevada City Locals Ryan Wink, Jessica Brugnon, Cosmo Merryweather and Sky Seals. This brand new, all original production is set to run from June 1st - June 25th at The Stone House. 

Straight from the Spring Intersession, scoring 90-100% with students and parents on all evaluation areas, Placer Repertory Theater and the Colfax Elementary School District are currently offering registration for the Placer Rep VAPA Academy Summer Program, which runs May 30 through June 30 in Colfax, California.

Sierra Stages will present 4000 Miles as the next installation of their long-running Theater by the Book series. Written by award-winning playwright Amy Herzog, the show runs one night only on April 19 at Miners Foundry.

Due in no small part to the scholastic vision and creativity of Superintendent Andrew Giannini and the Colfax Elementary School District, Placer Rep is excited to announce the establishment of the Placer Repertory Theater VAPA Academy of Colfax, a pilot program developed for grades K-8. 

Sierra Stages is bringing The Moors to life at The Nevada Theatre. Written by award-winning playwright Jen Silverman, the show runs from March 10 - April 2 at The Nevada Theatre. 

Positive energy and the eagerness to devote themselves to grow as artists was repeatedly evident at the Placer Rep 2023 Company Member auditions held in Rocklin, Roseville and Lincoln in January.
