There will be no outdoor theatre experiences this summer, but that hasn't stopped Shakespeare's Globe from revisiting one of the stalwarts of the summer season; Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Dominic Dromgoole's 2013 production is a classic Elizabethan romp, full of silliness and fun.

The NT marks the 100th anniversary of the first women in the UK gaining the right to vote, with a series of rehearsed readings, talks and events, as well as a free exhibition in the Lyttelton Lounge. World-class directors Nadia Fall, Phyllida Lloyd, Jenny Sealey, Lyndsey Turner and Dawn Walton will bring to life five plays on themes of suffrage, courage and the fight for political equality in the UK and around the world.

Daniel (James Lance) and Oliver (Joshua Silver) are the picture of a happy gay marriage. Now, they're about to have their first baby with their closest friend Priya (Chetna Pandya) acting as a surrogate. Chris Thompson's Of Kith and Kin, which premiered at Crucible Sheffield last month, is a powerful and touching play that questions family values, parenthood, masculinity, and the subtle effects of abuse.

Casting is announced today for two new plays as part of the Bush Theatre's Autumn Winter season by Sophie Wu (Ramona Tells Jim) and Chris Thompson (Of Kith and Kin).

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie today announced casting for three productions in his inaugural season - Of Kith and Kin, Desire Under the Elms and Uncle Vanya.

According to Daily Mail, Nicole Kidman has chosen not to reprise her role in PHOTOGRAPH 51 to spend more time with her daughters, Sunday and Faith.  Kidman stated that 'Photograph 51 was such a profound, spontaneous, incredible experience. I loved that instantaneous reaction, which you never have with film.' However when she took the idea to her daughters 'they said nope!'

Michael Grandage Company and King's College London today announce a charity performance of Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51 with Nicole Kidman as Rosalind Franklin.

After earning rave reviews for her portrayal of DNA pioneer Rosalind Franklin in Anna Ziegler's new West End play PHOTOGRAPH 51, Nicole Kidman is in talks with Michael Grandage to bring the project to the silver screen.

'The entire system is built around, 'Here's our work, now tell us how we did through a prize.'

Anna Ziegler's new play Photograph 51 is one of this year's more anticipated theatrical events, in part due to its star-studded cast: Nicole Kidman and Stephen Campbell-Moore take the lead, under the wonderful direction of Michael Grandage. This production seems to be all I have come to expect from the Michael Grandage Company: it is brave, articulate and just plain interesting.

Nicole Kidman recently spoke with the Daily Mail during her third week ('which is apparently the toughest,' she says) of rehearsals for her role as DNA pioneer Rosalind Franklin in Anna Ziegler's PHOTOGRAPH 51, beginning performances with Michael Grandage Company this weekend on 5 September. The play opens at the Noel Coward Theatre on 14 September and runs until 21 November. And Kidman is already hoping her schedule will allow her to bring the show to Broadway!
