Jose Luaces Biography

Gender: Male

Jose graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre . After Graduating he won first place regionally and second place nationally in the National Society of Arts and Letters Drama competition. He was recently part of the NYC Workshop of the new musical Big Fish Directed by multiple Tony winner Susan Stroman. Big Fish will be on Broadway in the spring of 2013. After that he Joined the cast of All that Glitters the new musical based on the life of Liberace. He was also spotted as a dancing dog in the National Tour of101 Dalmatian’s and has travelled to Beijing and Edinburgh to perform in Reel to Real Directed by Lynne Taylor- Corbett. Off Broadway Credits include PopArt with the New York Music Theater Festival and Venus Flytrap Opposite Tony nominee Xanthe Elbrick. Regionally He has been seen at Theatre of the Stars, Actor’s Playhouse, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Orlando Shakespeare Festival, Seaside Music Theatre, Caldwell Theatre, and Theatre by the Sea. Favorite roles include Juan in Altar Boys, Arpad in She Loves Me, Chino in West Side Story and Aladdin in Disney’s Aladdin. Check out to see what he is up to today.
