McCormack was a vocal supporter of the legalization of same-sex marriage. Point Foundation will honor Tig Notaro and Ronan Farrow at the annual Point Honors gala in the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza hotelApril 9, 2018. Chart topping and Grammy nominated singer Adam Lambert will perform at the Beverly Hilton October 7 when Point Foundation (Point) honors innovative TV and film writer, director, and producer Jill Soloway. Actress and comedian Kathryn Hahn will present the award to Soloway.

More than 400 guests joined Olympians and stars of stage and screen to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students at the annual Point Honors gala the landmark New York Public Library last night. The evening celebrated the accomplishments of Point Foundation's (Point), higher education scholarship recipients. More than $500,000 was raised for Point, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit.

Point Foundation will present five-time Olympic medalist Greg Louganis with the Point Legend Award, which recognizes an individual who has achieved greatness in their professional career and unapologetically supported the LGBTQ community. In addition to the previously announced appearance from the cast of BRIGHT STAR, BroadwayWorld exclusively reported that Tony winner Lena Hall will perform at this evening's special event.

Point Foundation (Point) is awarding new scholarships to 36 students who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership in their communities, despite facing obstacles such as bullying and financial hardship. Point is the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students. These new scholarship recipients join 47 current undergraduate and graduate students for a total of 83 Point Scholars who will receive financial assistance and programmatic support for the 2015 2016 academic year.
