Jim Hunter's scene and lighting designs have been seen at such theatres as the Folger Shakespeare Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Arizona Broadway Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, Phoenix Theatre, Theatre Virginia, Florida Studio Theatre, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Florida Stage, Charlotte Repertory Theatre, Playhouse on the Square, Drury Lane Theatre, Heritage Repertory Theatre, Veggie Tales Live National Tour, The Lost Colony, World Stage Exposition in Toronto, Wall Street Danceworks and others. Jimis a member of the national designers union, United Scenic Artist, Local 829 in scene and lighting design. He is on the faculty of the University of South Carolina and teaches scenic and lighting design. Current national service activities include Chair of the Commission on Accreditation / Member of the Board with the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST) and regular assignments chairing Accreditation Teams for NAST.
