America's Got Talent's Jeffrey Li made his musical theater debut in the developmental reading of Lainie Sakakura (producer/book) and Paul Fujimoto's (music/lyrics) CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET, a musical adaptation of The New York Times Best Selling novel, HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET by Jamie Ford at The Playroom Theater in New York on September 17.

Sakakura is presenting an invitation-only developmental reading of Lainie Sakakura (producer/book) and Paul Fujimoto's (music/lyrics) The Corner of Bitter and Sweet, a musical adaptation of The New York Times Best Selling novel, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford, at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 17 at The Playroom Theater, 151 W. 46th Street in New York.

After a traumatic few weeks for our nation and around the world, it was a delight to escape into the world of make believe watching Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, presented by Red Mountain Theatre Company. I was thrilled to be able to forget the horrors of the real world for a couple of hours and see a show where good triumphs over evil, where families from different worlds can accept their differences, put them aside and focus on love, and where everyone lives happily ever after. This allows Peregrine to transform the space into Carrie's high school in Chamberlain, Maine. During this interactive theatrical experience they invite the audience to attend prom and fully commit to the world of CARRIE the musical for a night they will never forget.
