Amas Musical Theatre(Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present further staged readings of Play It by Heart, a new musical, with music by David Spangler, Jerry Taylorand Marty Dodson, lyrics byDavid Spangler, Jerry Taylor,R.T. Robinson, and Marty Dodson, and book byWilly Holtzman. Directed by Daniel Goldsteinwith music direction by Andrew Wilder, the readings (by invitation only) will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 1pm and 5pm at Opry City Stage (48th/49th& Broadway).

Seaglass Theatrical will stage an invite only industry presentation of the new musical A Dog Story directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). The musical written by Eric H. Weinberger (book) and Gayla D. Morgan (music/lyrics) and musical direction by Emily Marshall will take place on April 21, 2016 at 2PM at the Davenport Black Box Theatre (West 45th Street).

TBS has greenlit the workplace comedy Buzzy's, the latest series from David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, the Emmy(R)-winning creators of Will & Grace. Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), Mike Castle (Family Trap), Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is the New Black), Ryan Pinkston (Tower Prep), Matt Cook (True Blood) and six-time Emmy(R) nominee George Wendt (Cheers) star in the ensemble comedy, which comes to TBS from KoMut Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Kohan and Mutchnick serve as executive producers on the series and penned the pilot, which was directed by James Widdoes (Two and a Half Men).

Deadline reports that Broadway's Ben Rappaport will star in the upcoming TBS pilot DO IT YOURSELF. The actor will join previously announced cast members Bill Engvall, Melora Hardin and Ryan McPartlin in the multi-camera project.

It appears that 'Office' alum Melora Hardin is heading to a new workplace. According to Dealine, the actress will soon star in a new comedy pilot for TBS titled DO IT YOURSELF, set in a 'big box home supply store.'
