Selena Gomez is playing Linda Ronstadt in a new biopic. The Only Murders in the Building star is leading the music film, which will be produced by Ronstadt’s manager, John Boylan, and James Keach, who produced a 2019 documentary about Ronstadt's life and career.

Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference (AFF), the premier film festival recognizing the writers' contributions to film, television, and new media, announced today the full schedule of films and panels for the 25th Anniversary festival, this October 25-November 1. The 49th Annual Nashville Film Festival continues its rollout of film announcements with the seven selected Documentary Special Presentations that include the World Premiere of James Keach's Turning Point. Today, Goodman Theatre announces the Summer 2018 return of Jim McGrath's Pamplona starring stage and screen veteran Stacy Keach as Ernest Hemingway, directed by Artistic Director Robert Falls. Originally scheduled for Spring 2017, Pamplona appeared for 11 preview performances but closed prematurely after its star suddenly fell ill on Opening Night and doctors ordered recuperation.

I, TONYA, the darkly comedic tale of American figure skater Tonya Harding and one of the most sensational scandals in sports history, will serve as AFF's second Closing Night Film. Directed by Craig Gillespie, I TONYA stars Margot Robbie as Harding, Sebastian Stan as her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly, and Allison Janney as Harding's acid-tongued mother. Writer Steven Rogers will be in attendance for the screening.

It has been confirmed that Stacy Keach suffered a heart attack onstage during the opening night performance of PAMPLONA at the Goodman Theatre, prompting the organization to cancel the rest of the show's run to allow him to recover.
