The VITF kicks-off on October 3rd with the first Immigration Arts Summit on Sunday, October 3, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Jersey City's White Eagle Hall (337 Newark Ave.).
On Saturday, October 2, 2021, dancers, musicians, filmmakers, poets, and immigration advocates will gather in community at Judson Memorial Church around the urgent issue of humanizing our immigration system.
DaveyBoy Productions, in association with Amigos del REP and Border Angels, presents 'Letters from the Wall: Cartas del Muro' as the next in Amigos del REP's series of free play readings by Latino artists. Arranged and directed by Amigos Producer and San Diego actor Dave Rivas, 'Letters from the Wall' will be read on June 21, 2016 at 7PM in the Lyceum Stage Theatre. The play will then be included as a part of the 2016 San Diego Fringe Festival from June 23 to July 3.

JOSEFINA LOPEZ, the creator of the critically acclaimed hit play, Real Women Have Curves and co-writer of the Sundance Film Festival award-winning film of the same name will now have her second film, Detained in the Desert, which she executive produced, presented in its World Premiere screening in competition as part of the 16th Annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at TCL 6 Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman's Chinese Theatre and Mann's Chinese Theatre), Theatre One, 6925 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90028.

This event will be the inaugural theatrical event presented in the LACHSA's brand new theatre called Caroline's L.O.F.T. The event is honoring playwright Josefina Lopez ('Real Women Have Curves') with LACHSA students performing in presentations of her one-act plays, 'Food For The Dead' and 'Detained in the Desert,' the later of which Lopez just completed as a feature film.
