Musical Theatre Guild's Stephen Sondheim Tribute Returns To Southern California


This year's production, a fundraiser supporting Musical Theatre Guild and its' Student Outreach programs, will perform twice; in Rancho Mirage, at the Galen Performing Arts Center on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, and in Los Angeles, at the Colony Theatre in Burbank on Sunday, January 21st. Both performances take place at 7:00PM.

A smash-hit sell-out in 2015 (World Premiere) and 2016, SCROOGE IN LOVE! is back by popular demand to delight Moon audiences of all ages. Featuring music by Larry Grossman, lyrics by Kellen Blair and a book by Duane Poole, the 2019 production of SCROOGE IN LOVE! will once again star Broadway's Jason Graae* (currently appearing as the Wizard in the National Tour of WICKED) as 'Ebenezer Scrooge.' Moon favorite Dyan McBride returns as Director, with Ken Brill as Music Director and Choreography by Staci Arriaga. 42nd Street Moon's production of SCROOGE IN LOVE! runs from December 4 - 22, 2019 and will perform at San Francisco's Gateway Theatre (215 Jackson St, San Francisco, CA 94111). This eternally youthful performer is now a veritable showbiz veteran, having starred on Broadway several times, toured the country with legendary composer Jerry Herman, recorded almost 50 CD's and most recently played The Wizard of Oz in the national tour of a?oeWicked.a?? Known for his spirited comic performances and sterling vocals, you might expect Mr. Graae to be a lot of fun to talk to, and you would be right about that. While quick to express heartfelt gratitude to colleagues, he is also the irrepressible imp who can't resist entertaining you with his mischievous sense of humor.
