The 2023 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) will close out its five-day event with the annual Community Day taking place on Sunday, June 18, at the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater, 819 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, from noon to 5:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Produced by Murphy (known for his landmark work with Gerry Rafferty, Richard and Linda Thompson, Van Morrison, and more), Styvers’ Hush recordings revealed her as an exceptional songstress with a humble and captivating vocal presence, redolent of such iconic artists as Carole King, Karen Carpenter, and Judee Sill.

Jackie Chan's Long Yun Kung Fu Troupe from Beijing performs at the Auditorium Theatre on Saturday, February 4, in celebration of the Chinese New Year. The 11 members of the Long Yun Troupe, hand-picked by internationally renowned martial artist, actor, and film director Jackie Chan, effortlessly meld elements of kung fu and traditional Chinese dance to create an entirely new art form, showcased throughout the program 11 Warriors. Co-presented with the Chinese Fine Arts Society and Choose Chicago, the Long Yun Troupe is a signature event in the City of Chicago's annual Chinese New Year Celebration and promises an unforgettable evening that is perfect for the whole family. 

Shakespeare 400 Chicago, the yearlong festival marking the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, will wrap up a dynamic year of programming with a full calendar of events in December, having inspired an estimated 1.1 million people to take part in 863 events at 231 locations across the city of Chicago.

The Auditorium Theatre and the Chinese Fine Arts Society present Jackie Chan's Long Yun Kung Fu Troupe from Beijing on February 4, 2017, as part of Chicago's Chinese New Year celebration presented in partnership with Choose Chicago. The 11 members of the Long Yun troupe - hand-picked by famous martial artist, actor, and film director Jackie Chan - effortlessly combine elements of traditional kung fu, ballet, and modern dance in the mesmerizing program 11 Warriors. A pre-sale to Auditorium Theatre patrons and Chinese Fine Arts Society members runs from October 18 to October 23.  Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, October 24, at 10AM.
