ABC News Studios announces the expansion of hit show “The Year” with two primetime specials looking back at the biggest moments of 2023 and the best of what's to come in 2024 — both hosted by “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts.

Kedas will oversee all external and internal communications and media relations efforts on behalf of ABC News, driving awareness and viewership for all ABC News content, including “20/20,” “Good Morning America,” “GMA3,” “Nightline,” “The Tamron Hall Show,” “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” “The View,” and more.

The series kicks off on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” with a new ABC News/Ipsos poll on the mood of the nation, issues voters care about most, and how satisfied they are with their choices of presidential candidates. The series will continue with coverage led by ABC News’ political team through Wednesday.

ABC News will air a one-hour primetime special tonight, Oct. 11, on the ongoing conflict in Israel following the deadly Hamas attack over the weekend. “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir, who has been on the ground reporting all week, anchors the special from Tel Aviv.

Two dazzling specials featuring some of the biggest names in music will bring melodies in December: “A Very Backstreet Christmas” celebrates the holidays with The Backstreet Boys, and “Finding Harmony” is an uplifting story featuring EGOT winner John Legend and David Brown, founder of the Columbus-based Harmony Project in Ohio.

Wednesday’s broadcast of “Live with Kelly and Ryan” (on 7/20/22) marked the show’s most-watched telecast (2.287 million) on any day in 1 month — since Monday, 6/20/22. Wednesday’s episode featured news anchor David Muir, actress Bailee Madison and dermatologist Dr. Doris Day.

Following Billy Ray Turner’s conviction in the murder trial of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright, “20/20” reports on the case that haunted Wright’s family and the city of Memphis, Tennessee, for years after authorities discovered Wright’s body in a field beside a road. The documentary includes Sherra Wright-Robinson, Deborah Marion, and more.

The program includes audio from the police’s interview with Carter, text messages between Roy and Carter and interviews with individuals who were close to the couple. “20/20” also features footage from the new Hulu series “The Girl from Plainville,” based on the case and starring Elle Fanning as Carter.
