Tonight, the NAACP kicked-off night one of the 53rd NAACP Image Awards announcing the first round of winners in the non-televised award categories, which included literary, podcast, and youth activist of the year awards.

Today, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) announced the initial line-up for the 2019 SCAD aTVfest, Atlanta's only festival dedicated to television. Now in its seventh year, the university's annual signature event celebrating the television industry will be held at SCADshow on February 7 - 9, 2019. Entertainment Weekly (EW) will serve as the first ever Official Media Partner for SCAD aTVfest.

Sony Crackle announced today that season two of the original drama series 'The Oath,' from executive producer Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson and his G-Unit Film and Television Inc. and creator/executive producer/writer Joe Halpin, will return to the free streaming network with 8 all-new episodes on Thursday, February 21. The network also released first-look images from the new season.

“The Dougherty Gang,” is based on a true story and the GQ article 'The Whole True Story of the Dougherty Gang' by Kathy Dobie. Written & directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sean McEwen (Whaling”), The Dougherty Gang is his second directorial feature film, having also shepherded as a producer a number of hit films including: “Another Happy Day,” “Bernie” “Graceland” and “Punching Henry.” Starring Emory Cohen (“Brooklyn,” “The Place Beyond the Pines” “War Machine”), India Eisley (Patty Jenkins “I Am The Night,” “Underworld: Awakening,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), and Sam Strike (“Timeless,” “Leatherface,” “EastEnders”), as three siblings whom embark on a cross-country crime spree, hoping to start a new life across the border. Tess Harper (“No Country For Old Men,” “Tender Mercies,” “Crimes of the Heart”), meets them on their journey, while Cory Hardrict (“American Sniper,” “Warm Bodies,” “Battle Los Angeles”), and Treat Williams (“Chicago Fire,” Deep Rising,” “Blue Bloods”) work to bring them to justice. 

Sony Crackle announced today that Grammy-nominated artists Christina Milian and Leona Lewis and actress Zulay Henao ('Meet the Blacks 2') will join the cast of season two of its original drama series 'The Oath,' from executive producer Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson and his G-Unit Film and Television Inc. and creator/executive producer Joe Halpin. Additionally, actor and director Kevin Connolly will guest star and direct multiple episodes for the gritty drama series. Production for season two of 'The Oath' has commenced in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Yesterday, Monday, February 26th, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson dropped the premiere episode of 'The Oath,' his new scripted drama, on his Facebook page giving passionate fans a preview of the series for just 24 hours. When sharing the series, which is set to premiere March 8 on Crackle, a Sony Network, 50 Cent said: 'This shit is too damn good so why wait? Check out the first full episode of my new show The Oath on Crackle before it goes live. Crackle, Sony Pictures Television Networks' free, ad-supported streaming network, today released the trailer and key art for the network's new scripted original drama series THE OATH, at the bi-annual gathering of television critics in Pasadena. T

Deadline reports that Crackle's GM Eric Berger made an announcement that the channel is developing drama The Butcher and comedy Office Uprising, among others.

Crackle, a Sony Network, today announced a March 8th premiere for its new scripted original drama, THE OATH starring Ryan Kwanten (TRUE BLOOD), Cory Hardrict (AMERICAN SNIPER,GRAN TORINO), Arlen Escarpeta (THE MAGICIANS), Katrina Law (TRAINING DAY), J.J. Soria (ANIMAL KINGDOM, THE FOSTERS) and GAME OF THRONES alum, Sean Bean. The free ad-supported network also released new art as well as the teaser trailer.
