BroadwayWorld was on the scene this week alongside Julie Taymor, Reeve Carney, Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway and numerous others on the opening night of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. In partnership with A Theatre for a New Audience, acclaimed Broadway director, Julie Taymor presents a re-imagined A Midsummer Night's Dream. 

Thommie Retter, original Broadway cast member of Billy Elliot The Musical and Retter Entertainment provides unique opportunities for aspiring young performers through This Way To Broadway, a series of workshops culminating in showcase opportunities, including singing, acting, and dancing.

THE WONDERFUL MR. & MRS. O'LEARY, written by Matte O'Brien and directed by David Alpert, will be presented as part of TACT's newTACTics series tonight, June 25 and Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m. The production will feature Aaron Ramey, Alice Ripley, Sebastian Thomas, and Cassidy VanVonno.

Founded in 1979 by its Artistic Director, Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience's next act is about to begin with the opening of its Center for Shakespeare and Classical Drama in Brooklyn. The inaugural production is Julie Taymor's staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare with original music by Elliot Goldenthal.
