Street Corner Arts will present the Austin Premiere of THE GULF by Audrey Cefaly, opening at Hyde Park Theatre on December 2nd, 2022!

At times, the show is almost painfully blunt, and I don’t mean that to be an insult. Director David R. Jarrott places the focus squarely where it belongs: the relentless and, at times, grueling search for honesty and authenticity in a post-truth world.

After 3 sold out weeks in December, Street Corner Arts' production of STRANGE, BUT PERFECT was set to extend for 4 more weeks, but due to the rise in Covid-19 cases and escalation to Stage 5 guidelines, we've made the decision to transition to a Digital Extension. A recorded performance filmed in one-take with multiple cameras is available for On-Demand viewing now until February 28th, 2022.

Due to popular demand, Street Corner Arts' sell-out production of STRANGE, BUT PERFECT will add four additional weeks of performances beginning January 5th, 2022 and extending through January, 29th, 2022.

STRANGE, BUT PERFECT is a new comedic drama very loosely inspired by the great 80's sitcom Perfect, Strangers and is a slice of life look at loss, our great matriarchs, and the search for our goodness and commonality during the time of Covid. It also gets a little weird.

Street Corner Arts is proud to announce the cast for their upcoming production of GLORIA by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize. Directed by Jeremy Lee Cudd, the play stars Lizzie Beckham, Zac Carr, Carlo Lorenzo Garcia, Sarah Chong Harmer, Bonnie Lambert, and Chase Parker.

Jarrott Productions is pleased to announce the cast of its next production, Jane Anderson's 'Mother of the Maid.' Directed by Clarissa Smith-Hernandez, the play stars Austin veteran actress Katherine Schroeder as Isabelle, the mother of the Maid; and features newcomer Anna Maria Ward as Joan, along with David R. Jarrott as Joan's father, Jacques, and Christopher Gonzalez as her brother, Pierre; rounding out the cast are Beau Paul as Father Gilbert, and Erin Scialabba as the Lady of the Court.

Pull out your best butcher knife, pour yourself a steaming cup of coffee, and prance over to the Hyde Park Theatre to experience Street Corner Arts' production of THE BUTCHER OF BARABOO. Playwright Marisa Wegrzyn fashions a world where the snow is white, the blood is red, and the humor is as black as the coffee brewing in the pot.

In Baraboo, Wisconsin, the ground is white with snow and the air is black with laughs. Valerie is the town butcher with an axe to grind. Her daughter Midge is a pharmacist whose clientele extends beyond the drug store. Over one cold February week, the town cop - who just happens to be Valerie's sister-in-law - will try to sniff out this family's secrets and lies.
