Broadway Artists, Recording Artists, Fashion Models and more come together for Puppy Love: An ASPCA Benefit Concert at 54 Below on April 2nd at 11:00PM. All proceeds are being donated to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, after all, we are their voice. Nightlife's Dougie Meyer will be the emcee for the evening.

The Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will close on February 13. The production is directed by Marc Bruni, with choreography by Wendy Seyb.

I'm usually not one to sit in judgment of my journalistic colleagues but when one of them is up on stage performing, what's a theatre critic to do?  Fortunately, I can honestly report that Matt Windman, known for his snappy reviews in amNew York and on Theatremania.com, did a fine job in the small role of 'Matt Windman,' on opening night of Paper Mill's funny and heart-tugging production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  (Actually, the role would have been a little larger if he knew how to spell 'palestra' correctly.)

Directed by Marc Bruni, with choreography by Wendy Seyb, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opened last night at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Single tickets are now on sale and range in price from $25 to $92. Student rush tickets are $25 and are available the day of performance in person with current student ID.
