Applied Mechanics Presents OTHER ORBITS EPISODE ONE: PlaNet Radio


Applied Mechanics is returning with their newest creation Other Orbits Episode One: PlaNet  Radio,  an  eclectic  radio broadcast about the obscure festivals, slow jams, and scandals of this cooperative, sci-fi world. Other Orbits is a serial multi-media play created by Applied Mechanics. Episode One: PlaNet Radio premieres June 30 - July 31, 2021.

Quintessence Theatre Group Readies First-Ever Three Show Repertory


Quintessence Theatre Group, Philadelphia's professional classic repertory theatre, closes out its 10th Anniversary season with its first-ever three show repertory. From March 25-May 17, 2020 the company is presenting the Dreams and Madness Repertory. Each of these three plays explores the danger of love, the difference between dreams and madness, and the destructive power of authority and government.

Simpatico Theatre Partners With Parent Artist Advocacy League For Philadelphia Premiere Of CRY IT OUT


Simpatico Theatre Company closes their 'Season of System Failures' with the regional premiere of a new play that explores the effect that class has on parenthood in America. Molly Smith Metzler's CRY IT OUT will perform at The Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake (302 S. Hicks Street, Philadelphia, PA) from June 5 to June 23, 2019. Simpatico will partner with PAAL, the Parent Artist Advocacy League, during this production to offer a variety of family-friendly opportunities for artists and audiences that focus on the working parent. Opening night for press is Friday, June 7 at 8PM.

Directors Gathering (DG), a Philadelphia-based membership organization that provides development, community, and process-based opportunities for regional theatre directors, is excited to announce their 2019 (DG) Jam, a day-long workshop, performance, and celebration of theatre directors and their original work. This special event, which is akin to a performing arts take of the popular television baking competition The Great British Bake-Off, will take place on May 11, 2019 at The Painted Bride Arts Center in Philadelphia. The public is invited to the event starting at 6PM.

KING LEAR Comes To Philadelphia's Quintessence Theatre Group

The Philadelphia Artists' Collective returns to the Philadelphia FringeArts Festival with a hauntingly beautiful site-specific work by the famous author of Peter Pan. Mary Rose, by J.M. Berrie, will be presented both inside the historic and ornate mansion - and outside under the stars in the cemetery itself. The show runs for a total of 12 performances through September 22, 2018. All shows are at 7:00pm. Woodlands offers patrons free parking and the cemetery is just one block from a major SEPTA bus hub. Tickets are $20 to $25 each.
