The Peabody Awards, the oldest and most prestigious awards honoring stories that matter in broadcasting and streaming media, are based at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia in Athens. 

ShawChicago celebrates its 23rd season with its annual gala, Shaw's Speakeasy. The gala will take place on Mary 19th from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Casino, 195 E. Delaware Place, Chicago IL 60611. ShawChicago will also present its Bernie Award to Jay R. Tunney.

Gingold Theatrical Group, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, will present Shaw New York 2014, the annual Shaw-based festival in New York City, with events throughout December at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) and Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street). Gingold Theatrical Group's SHAW NEW YORK 2013 festival concludes on Sunday October 13th. It has been highlighted by GTG's co-production of Shaw's You Never Can Tell with and at The Pearl Theatre Company. This production, which was filmed for the New York Library for the Performing Arts and Lincoln Center archives, is ending its limited run on Sunday October 13th.

On Monday, October 7 was Critics' Symposium, at which a team of critics examined the ever-changing needs of their field. This panel included David Cote and HeLen Shaw (TimeOut NY), Chris Jones (Chicago Tribune), Jason Zinoman(New York Times), Linda Winer(Newsday), Jeremy Gerard (Bloomberg) with moderator Jeffrey Eric Jenkins.
