Dzieci Theatre to Celebrate 10th Anniversary Of Easter Themed A PASSION in April


Best known for their stripped down MAKBET, a Roma-infused take on Shakespeare's Macbeth presented in a shipping container, and their annual holiday extravaganza FOOLS MASS, Dzieci Theatre will present its 10th Anniversary production of A PASSION this Easter.

29th Street Rep (Paula Ewin and Ted Osborne, Producers) present the ONE NIGHT ONLY celebration of Playwright in Residence Bill Nave, who died in 2016. Directed by Vera Beren at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, NY on Wednesday, May 2nd at 8:00 pm. Admission is free and by invitation. The performance will run approximately 3 hours, with one intermission.

Dzieci Theater Company has announced the World Premiere of their site-specific MAKBET, adapted from Shakespeare's Macbeth and directed by Matt Mitler. MAKBET begins performances today, October 1 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 18. Press Opening is Sunday, October 4 at 4 PM. The performance schedule is Today - Saturday at 7:00 PM, Sunday at 4 PM. This site specific performance takes place at Sure We Can in Bushwick (219 McKibbin Street, L to Montrose Avenue). Tickets are $10 at the door.

Tony Winner Pam MacKinnon to Helm Tracy Letts' KILLER JOE on Broadway in 2014


Producers of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Revival, are pleased to announce that Tracy Letts' Killer Joe will be heading to Broadway for the first time. The Broadway premiere of Killer Joe will reunite Pam MacKinnon, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Director of a Play (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and Tracy Letts, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Actor (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?). The production is slated to hit Broadway in 2014.

Winning a Guthrie Theatre commission, and chosen for development by The Katselas Theatre Company's INKubator program, the West Coast Premiere of SEXSTING is the inaugural production for KTC's 2013 season. Opening at the popular Skylight Theatre Complex tonight, February 23rd, the stellar cast includes Gregory Itzin (Tony, Drama Desk, and Emmy Award nominee), JD Cullum (Stones in His Pockets-Mark Taper Forum, Of Equal Measure-Kirk Douglas Theater), The Cripple of Inishmaan (Geffen Playhouse).
