Actors' Theatre of Columbus Sets 35th Anniversary Season


In 1982, Actors' Theatre of Columbus (ATC) kicked off its first season with a single production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The success of that season proved that Schiller Park was an excellent venue for open air Shakespearean theater, and the troupe has continued this tradition for 35 years. Actors' Theatre will perform its 100th play in Schiller in 2016.

They seek rich wives, of course - the sooner, the better. Actors' Theatre of Columbus is producing THE BEAUX' STRATAGEM as its final play of the Schiller Park Season. The comedy will be performed every Today through Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. from today, August 1 to September 1. It is directed by Adam Simon. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to make the experience more comfortable.

Actors' Theatre of Columbus will be transforming German Village's Schiller Park into Sherwood Forest for its Annual Tent Dinner this evening, May 24th. In the offing is the world premiere of Robin Hood, of English folklore fame, which was written for Actors' Theatre by local playwright Philip J. Hickman.
