Lynn University Launches Jan McArt's New Play Readings Lynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today invited theater fans to the opening show of this season's Jan McArt's New Play Readings. Under the leadership and guidance of McArt, this program develops new plays by highly acclaimed playwrights through staged readings. Tony Finstrom is associate producer and Wayne Rudisill is resident director of this series, with readings held in the university's Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center.

A contemporary take on an old fashioned story, this epic yet intimate tale of greed, lust and lies is part mystery, part comedy, part romance, played out against the colorful backdrop of Victorian London. Jan McArt co-stars in the show along with Jordan Armstrong, Leigh Bennett, Jeffrey Bruce, Ann Marie Olson, Leah Sessa and Mike Westrich.

The remaining shows of Jan McArt's New Play Readings include Greg Burdick's Agent of Change on Jan. 14, The Quintessence of Joy by Stuart Meltzer on Feb. 11, and Michael McKeever's Farce and Away on March 4.
