Classic Rockers to Bring GOOD VIBRATIONS to Old School Square Pavilion

The first celebration of 2016 will be held at Old School Square Pavilion on Sunday, January 10, at 6 pm. GOOD VIBRATIONS will spotlight some of America's favorite classic rockers: Micky Dolenz of The Monkees; Felix Cavaliere of The Rascals; Mark Farner, founder of Grand Funk Railroad; Steve Augeri, the former lead singer of Journey; and John Cafferty and Michael "Tunes" Antunes of the Beaver Brown Band, which was featured in the hit film Eddie & The Cruisers.
Music fans can revel once again in some of their favorite Top-40 hits such as I'm a Believer, Last Train to Clarksville, Daydream Believer, Good Lovin', Groovin', People Got to be Free, A Beautiful Morning, Don't Stop Believin', Closer to Home (I'm Your Captain), Walk Like a Man, Some Kind of Wonderful, Who's Cryin' Now, On the Dark Side, Tough All Over, C-I-T-Y and many more - all sung by the original rock stars.
"We're thrilled to bring national touring artists to the Pavilion stage and raise money for this national historic site through our new partnership with Old School Square," explains Peter Van Ness, the Massachusetts-based concert promoter and president of gimmeLIVE. "This concert will not only donate a portion of the ticket proceeds to Old School Square, we will also raffle a genuine Fender Squire Guitar autographed by all of the GOOD VIBRATIONS performers. All of the raffle proceeds will also be donated."

Tickets for GOOD VIBRATIONS are $40 for general admission lawn seating, $55 and $65 for reserved seats are $125 for VIP seating, which includes a meet & greet/photo opportunity with the stars, seating in the first four rows, private entrance with access to VIP Tent, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, private cash bar, commemorative VIP laminate and crowd-free merchandising shopping. About the GOOD VIBRATIONS Headliners:
Micky (along with Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork) were chosen, out of 400 applicants, to star in the Emmy-winning 1966 hit TV show, The Monkees, which made its debut in September 1966 and quickly rocketed to the top of the ratings, where it stayed for two years and won an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series. Micky and his fellow "TV band mates" actually went on to become a real live rock band that North America and the UK (where their opening act was Jimi Hendrix. The group also starred in the film Head, a 1968 psychedelic romp directed by the TV series' co-creator Bob Rafelson from a script co-written by a young Jack Nicholson. The movie is now considered a cult classic. In a review last summer, the Hollywood Reporter declared," Delivering exuberant versions of several classic Monkees hits ... the still youthful 70-year-old singer performed with an obvious joy that proved infectious."
Known as "the King of Blue-Eyed Soul," the legendary singer-songwriter's 50-year career that includes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame and Grammy Hall of Fame. In 1965, Cavaliere formed the Young Rascals, which was renamed The Rascals after signing with Atlantic Records and releasing Good Lovin', the first of a long line of mega hits, including Groovin', Beautiful Morning and People Got to Be Free. As Steven Van Zandt once explained, "Some people may not realize it, but The Rascals were the first rock band in the world."
Mark Farner
Mark Farner IS the engine that took the original Grand Funk Railroad, one of rock music's most successful groups, to the top of the charts. As their lead vocalist, lead guitarist and principle songwriter, the group made a beeline to rock stardom following their show-stealing performance before 180,000 people at the Atlanta International Pop Festival in 1969. Capitol Records was soon on board releasing the band's first album that included such timeless Mark Farner compositions as Time Machine, High On A Horse, Heartbreaker, Into The Sun and Can't Be Too Long. Within weeks it was certified RIAA Gold. Due in no small part to Farner's strong and steady vocals, mastery of guitar and stage charisma, Grand Funk was one of those very few bands that really was better live than in the studio, so it was no surprise when their Grand Funk Live Album reached the Top Five. However, all of this paled in comparison to the group's sold out performance at New York's 55,000-seat Shea Stadium in 1971. Not since The Beatles had any group sold out Shea and GFR still holds the record.
Drawing on a range of diverse musical influences to deliver a unique take on the genre of melodic rock, Steve Augeri is an American rock singer best known as the lead vocalist for the rock group Journey from 1998 to 2006. As the band's lead singer, he recorded the song Remember Me for the movie soundtrack Armageddon along with three albums during a successful eight-year tenure that brought the worlds most accomplished melodic rock group back to the stage for multiple world tours to millions of fans.
John Cafferty & Michael "Tunes" Antunes of The Beaver Brown Band
Multi-platform recording artist and #1 hit maker, John Cafferty has led the legendary "East Coast Rock'n'Roll" group John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band since their career began in 1972 and shot to stardom in the 1980s with the Eddie & The Cruisers - Motion Picture Soundtrack. The hit single On the Dark Side held the "Number-One" position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for five consecutive weeks and the album sold over 3 million copies and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA. The title track from the group's 1985 follow-up album Tough All Over became their second top single on the Billboard Rock charts and the song C-I-T-Y reached the Billboard Top 20. Today, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band continue to tour and bring their exciting live shows to fans around the world.
