In a country ripped apart by a bloody civil war, a young servant Grusha risks everything by rescuing the abandoned baby of the recently murdered Governor after his wife flees the palace with more concern for her clothing and shoes than her son.

When the biological mother returns years later to take the boy from Grusha, will a worn-out, cynical judge rule on the side of Love or the Law?

A. W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts Theatre Department's gripping production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, with its original songs and innovative staging, is sure to enthrall.
