A childless baker and his wife, cursed by the witch next door, are given the chance to overturn their fates and set off on a journey to break the spell. Over three days and three nights, they find themselves encountering the likes of Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel, in a frantic search to find the items they need . . . but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results, in this timeless yet relevant piece.

Based on the real Newsboys’ Strike of 1899 and adapted from the 1992 movie. Homeless newsboy Jack Kelly, who dreams of a better life out west, befriends two newcomers to the trade, Davey Jacobs and his young brother, Les. When publisher Joseph Pulitzer raises the cost of the papers the newsies buy to hawk on the streets of New York, the boys go on strike to demand a place at the table and a say in their own futures. With the help of young journalist Katherine Plumber, Jack and the newsies take their strike to the entire city, commanding the attention and respect of everyone from Pulitzer to the Governor of New York. Perhaps Brom Bones or other members of the town, had something to do with his disappearance. Perhaps he was the victim of a cruel prank.
