Daniel Quadrino, Sara Kapner, et al. to Lead TROUBLE THE MUSICAL at NYMF


The cast of TROUBLE THE MUSICAL, a new rock musical being presented in the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival, will feature Daniel Quadrino (Broadway's Bye Bye Birdie), Sara Kapner (Broadway's Hollywood Arms), Justin Stein (Camelot at Lincoln Center), MATTHEW J. RIORDAN (Smile: A New Rock Musical), Davi Santos (ABC's Don't Trust The B- In Apartment 23), Wesley Tunison (Freckleface Strawberry), KATIE MACK (Theatre 202's Comedy of Errors) and ABBE TANENBAUM (Theatreworks/USA's If You Give A Mouse A Cookie…).

The announcement was made today by producer Phillip Rudy on behalf of Trouble The Musical LLC.

TROUBLE is a raw and uncensored look at eight teenagers and all the turmoil, sex, joy, heartbreak and trouble that young love brings. It features a pulsating contemporary rock score by ELLA GRACE, front woman of the hit UK band Hitchcock Blonde, and a book by The Marilyn Monroe Show's Michael Alvarez, who also directs the production.

Called "Intense", "Shocking" and "Profoundly Moving" during its London premiere, TROUBLE THE MUSICAL will be presented at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center as part of the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Hip hop artist and Decadancetheatre Artistic Director JENNIFER WEBER will choreograph the production. Peter Hodgson (The Flitch, NYU/Playwrights Horizons) is the musical director. UK-based musician JOSS NIGHTINGALE will provide musical orchestrations.

John DunnETT (How I Learned To Drive at the Media Room Theatre) is the scenic and costume designer. VICTOR ZEISER, who has lit music acts Ben Folds and The Temptations, is the lighting designer. JULIAN EVANS (SyFy Network's The Mercury Men) is the sound designer. Ernie Fimbres (The Deep Throat Sex Scandal) is the production stage manager. JASON NAJJOUM (Prospect Theater Company's Myths and Hymns) is the casting director. Eve Rybnick (Jerusalem Syndrome, Judas and Me) is the general manager.

The performance schedule for TROUBLE is as follows: Thursday, July 12 at 8pm; Saturday, July 14 at 5pm and 9pm; Sunday, July 15 at 5pm and 9pm; and Wednesday, July 18 at 5pm.
