Opening May 8th at Mid City Theatre, Promethean Theatre Co. presents an evening featuring the work of one of America's greatest living composer, Stephen Sondheim. Using several of the artist's lesser-known songs, Marry Me A Little tells a charming and bittersweet tale of love, loneliness and survival as a single young person living in contemporary New Orleans.

The plot, told solely through song, tells the story of two strangers home alone on either side of a Bywater shotgun apartment on a Saturday night. They pass their time with sweet secrets, unshared fantasies, and melancholy regrets; never knowing that they're just a wall away from each other and the end of their loneliness.??Conceived and developed by Craig Lucas and Norman Rene, the show features music primarily cut from other Sondheim shows including Saturday Night, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Anyone Can Whistle, Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, and Into the Woods. Promethean's production will be the New Orleans premiere.

The production will be directed by Promethean's Artistic Director, Stephen Eckert and star Ashley Rose Butler and Aaron Lind. Leah Farelly will design set while Brian Debs will handle lights and sound. Tory Gordan music directs with Glenn Aucoin providing accompaniment.
