The Nashua High School North Choral Department is proud to present the musical Once Upon A Mattress. Featured students include: Katie Walker as Queen Aggravain, Dylan Grantham as King Sextimus the Silent, Anyssa Mitchell as Princess Winnifred, Stephen Loranger as Prince Dauntless, Rachel Morris as Lady Larken, Andre Ostaudelafont as Sir Harry, Joe Tavares as Minstrel, Andre Prince as Jester and Liam Snogles as Wizard. It is a big ensemble cast, with nearly 60 kids on stage at several points during the show. Dates/TimesFriday November 22, 2019 & Saturday November 23, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.Sunday November 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.Reserved seating tickets are $15 (premium) & $12 (non-premium) and can be purchased at tma.booktix.com . The musical will be led by Director, Brianne Biastoff; Music Director, Brent Kincaid; Choreographer, Ali Sickles; Producer, Carol Gorelick along with many, many parent volunteers. Play summary:A love sick nobleman seeking to marry his sweetheart does his best to find his ruling prince a suitable bride so that he himself may wed in this adaptation of the popular Broadway musical "The Princess and the Pea". No one in Prince Dauntless's kingdom is permitted to marry until the prince himself exchanges vows - a problem hindered by the fact that the prince's overprotective mother, Queen Aggravain, has thus far thwarted all efforts to marry her son. This does not sit well with the honorable Sir Harry, a man whose heart longs to wed the fair Lady Larken. After a long and arduous journey specifically designed to find the prince a bride, Sir Harry returns to his kingdom to present Princess Winnifred of the swamps. Immediately stricken by the princess, Prince Dauntless sets into motion plans for a lavish wedding as his scheming mother cooks up a test that's sure to send his marital plans awry.
