Sibelius loved nature dearly in his native country. As he wrote once: "I love the mystical sounds that you hear in the fields and the Woods, in the mountains and on the Lakes. They are right when they consider me as a nature artist. " In his violin concerto, played by the Dutch Simone Lamsa, sings Sibelius the many Finnish Lakes: sometimes quiet but often full of turmoil. With beautiful images is the evocation in the music of Sibelius further deepened.
