This season marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Richard Strauss. This all-Strauss celebration features a poignant late work, the Metamorphosen (quoting Beethoven’s “Eroica”). Our own Susan Babini and Robert Levine are soloists in Strauss’s sumptuous set of variations, Don Quixote, while Katie Young Steele is featured in the Oboe Concerto in D.
