Osmo Vänskä is “the master of symphonic logic,” according to BBC Music Magazine. And Vänskä himself has said, “It’s the life behind the notes we’re looking for.” Perhaps the world’s foremost Sibelius conductor, Vänskä leads the final two symphonies of his Finnish countryman. Our own Todd Levy is the soloist in the jazz-influenced Clarinet Concerto of Carl Nielsen.
