Nicky Wood is a nationally acclaimed producer, director, choreographer and performer, having performed on stages from Palm Beach to Beverly Hills to the British Virgin Islands. Growing up in the Treasure Coast, Nicky trained at The Maltz Jupiter Theatre and Indian River State College. He made his Barn Theatre debut in 2007 at age 12 and has performed on the Barn’s stage for the past 10 years in productions including A THOUSAND CLOWNS and THE 1940’S RADIO HOUR. He has directed seven limited engagements at the Barn, including WELCOME TO VEGAS and THE RAT PACK NEW YEARS. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Kennedy Center ACTF nomination for Student Direction/Choreography, he returned to the Treasure Coast to serve as the Resident Choreographer at StarStruck, working on nearly two years of projects including GYPSY and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Nicky now works as a Production Show Stager at Norwegian Creative Studios, currently assisting in creating entertainment for Oceania Cruise Lines. He also works for the Broadway Theatre Project, where he has worked alongside Deb McWaters (CHICAGO), Mandy Gonzalez (HAMILTON), Ben Vereen (PIPPIN) and Donna McKechnie (A CHORUS LINE). Nicky’s 23rd birthday gift to himself is this opportunity to share his first one man show with his friends and family at his home away from home, utilizing his love of musical theatre history while paying tribute to his idols, mentors and dreams.
