When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task: if he rescues Princess Fiona, his swamp will return to normal. Ghost of Versailles in Broadway GHOST OF VERSAILLES
Broad Auditorium at Barry University
7/27-7/27/2018
In The Ghosts of Versailles, the spirits have literally come back to court; the court of Louis XVI that is. Marie Antoinette is upset about having been beheaded, so her favorite playwright attempts to entertain her by continuing the adventures of his characters from The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro. This opera-within-an-opera goes awry when Figaro refuses to stick to the script and the playwright must come to the Queen’s rescue and win her affection. Miami Music Festival presents their 2018 season from June 5th to July 29th, which will host 250 students from over 25 countries selected from the most prestigious conservatories and universities. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown in Broadway YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN
Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre
7/6-7/28/2018
Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in Clark Gesner’s classic musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The whole gang is here: bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder who doesn’t give her the time of day, perfectionist Sally is still mocking blanket-toting Linus, Snoopy is in the doghouse, and “blockhead” himself, Charlie Brown, is in rare form. Brief vignettes span the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair. Whether you’re keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find “Happiness,” You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd-pleasing classic.

Bad Jews in Broadway BAD JEWS
American Stage
7/11-8/5/2018
WE THE PEOPLE…ARE TRYING TO KEEP THE FAITH The night after their grandfather’s funeral, three cousins engage in a verbal (and sometimes physical) battle. In one corner is Daphna Feygenbaum, a “Real Jew” who is volatile, self-assured, and unbending. In the other corner is her equally stubborn cousin Liam, a secular and entitled young man, with his ‘shiksa’ girlfriend, Melody, in tow. Stuck in the middle is Liam’s brother, Jonah, who tries to stay out of the fray. When Liam stakes claim to their grandfather’s Chai necklace, a vicious and hilarious brawl over family, faith, and legacy ensues in this biting comedy. “Irresistibly hilarious and astonishingly heartfelt comic masterpiece.” -DC METRO THEATRE ARTS Price: http://americanstage.org/single-tickets/ -Wednesdays 7pm: $39 -Thursdays 8pm: $39 -Fridays 8pm: $49 -Saturday Matinees 3pm: $39 -Saturday Evenings 8pm: $49 -Sunday Matinees 3pm: $39 *General Admission 7pm: Pay What you Can/$20 in Advance (Recommended) *General Admission 8pm: $29 *Opening Night 8pm: $59 UNDER 30 PASS: Our ‘Netflix-style’ subscription, offering ‘unlimited theatre’ to young people under the age of 30 for only $15 per month. The Athens Theatre
7/20-8/12/2018
Audiences will fall head over heels with this campy musical that Variety’s reviewer called “a fizzy confection offering . . . easy enjoyment.” This rollicking nod to rock shows of the 1980s, features a pair of tuneful star-crossed love triangles which reinforce the “Awesome” lesson that while marrying because “It’s All About The Green” may look sensible, when you are “A Casualty of Love,” the best thing “Someday” when “It’s Your Wedding Day” is to marry for love (and music). Come to this show for light hearted, toe tapping, lightly romantic fun.

The Big Bang in Broadway THE BIG BANG
Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre
7/25-9/2/2018
In this whirlwind musical, two comedy writers try to raise enough “dough” for the most historically expansive show ever conceived, about the ENTIRE history of the universe. In a record 90 minutes, both actors are put to the test as they try to convince their potential theatrical backers (the audience) that this insane frivolity is somehow worthy of the authors’ unrealistic hopes and aspirations. The Big Bang has become the most asked about show in Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre's 30-year history, and yes, we’re bringing it back with a BANG just for you!
