Can we make a clean sweep of the past? Start all over again? Reinvent themselves by changing identity? A couple devastated by a tragedy, will try to rebuild using "blind dates" secret and anonymous.
It is through this ritual role play both funny, playful, touching and perverse, they will try to communicate and finally meet. But these successive "blind dates" will flow gradually cracks, anxiety and shadow areas of the couple, to the ultimate revelation. Blind date is an intimate theater dissecting the complexity of human relationships.
Theo van Gogh, provocateur and enfant terrible of Dutch cinema author, was murdered in 2004 by a religious fundamentalist in Amsterdam. He leaves behind an extensive filmography. Several of his films have been adapted to theater. Blind date has played in Germany, including at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. This is the world premiere in French.
