Hail Mary, None of the Grace at Whitefire Theatre

Mary Kennedy was the recurring character “New Fiona” on Shameless, Season 7 has garnered the prestigious honor of being added to the Shameless Hall of Shame for the final season on Showtime. In addition, this real life Kennedy, 3rd Cousins twice removed; all of the tragedy, none of the money, co-stars as “Berniece, The Lunch Lady” in Tales of a Fifth Grade Robin Hood starring Jon Lovitz and Stephen Glickman, on TUBI TV. You can also see her in the series Beyond Belief, Fact or Fiction Directed by Holger Frick through Superposition Films. One of the most fun, she had on set recently, was playing a crazed Chippendales fan, on HULU’s Welcome to Chippendales. In addition, she was a recurring, principal sketch actress on CONAN-TBS. Films include, Tiffany Johnson’s film Girl Callin with production company REFINERY 29. Kennedy was cast, as the “Waitress” and it premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. She also was in “Shattered” as Mrs. Searcy, Starring soap stars, Ray Wise, Molly Burnett and Arianna Zucker. Over this past year, she has done three independent films, that have won awards on the festival circuit. She just did the World Premiere of her new one woman show, Hail Mary, None of the Grace at Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Gilded Balloon for 26 performances. Her other one woman show, Mid Life Mood Swing, has been on tour for 2 years just recently at The Second City, Toronto. Performing for sold out audiences on the east coast, including Mary’s hometown and just had a successful showing at SOLOFEST 2023/2024 through The Whitefire Theatre in Los Angeles, Off Cabot in Beverly, MA and Off Broadway at Theatre Row Theatre in NYC. She received a Broadway World Nomination for Best Actress and won an Encore Award-SOLOFEST 2024. Mary Kennedy, is a headlining comic for over 25 years, all over the country and in Canada. She toured nationally with Mom’s Night Out which subsequently was in development with NickMom/Viacom. Her hilarious comedy was also on the LIVE version of Showtime’s Comedy Special, Funny Women of a Certain Age. Fun fact! Mary and Charlene went to college together in Boston but didn't start working together until they were paired up on a benefit show eons later in Los Angeles. They have been co-collaborating ever since! Charlene directed Mid Life Mood Swing starring Mary Kennedy, to rave reviews and a national tour. Hail Mary, None of the Grace is the sequel to Mid Life and Charlene Directed this show at Edinburgh Fringe Festival for 26 performances at Gilded Balloon. In addition to directing,  Charlene is also an actor, writer and stand-up comic.
