VIDEO: Michael Arden Puts Out the Call for Orphans for Hollywood Bowl's ANNIE!

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association /Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie, one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history, will be this summer's annual staged musical at the Hollywood Bowl, and Tony-nominated director of Annie, Michael Arden, is inviting video submissions for potential Annies - as well as for the other six orphans. watch!

All girls between 6 and 13 years old located in Los Angeles County are welcome to send in their videos. To be considered for the role of Annie, those interested may upload a video to YouTube of themselves singing "Tomorrow." To be considered for one of the other six orphans, those interested may upload a video to YouTube of themselves singing "It's the Hard Knock Life." YouTube video links then need to be emailed to anniebowlcasting@gmail.com by Sunday, April 22. Annie at the Hollywood Bowl will be conducted by Todd Ellison and choreographed by Eamon Foley. Annie's book is by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin. Annie will have three performances at the Hollywood Bowl this summer - Friday, July 27, at 8 PM, Saturday, July 28, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 29, at 7:30 PM, with single tickets on sale Sunday, April 29.
