SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN
The Lee Strasberg Institute for Theatre & Film
2/5-2/6/2016
Written and Played by Jen DanbyDirected by Austin PendletonVideo Design by Lisa Raymond"Breathless 95 minutes...stunning...tour de force..." --LIVE MagazineSHARON TATE IN HEAVEN is a playful and tender one-woman odyssey set as an imagined TV interview in Heaven. This American Blonde Actress and Mississippi Mud Productions announce the first dates of the 2016 tour of SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN, beginning in Los Angeles for a return engagement, and with additional tour dates to follow in Florida, New York City and Long Island, NY, coinciding with the worldwide release of a film for new media version. It will play on the West Coast on February 5th and 6th for two shows only at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute on the the James Dean Soundstage, an "environmental" TV studio setting.  It is written and performed by This American Blonde Actress, Jen Danby (of SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN SUPER 8 a film for new media, released this past Christmas; THE BLONDE BOMBSHELL PROJECT: MARILYN MONROE; and Nina in SEAGULL69, an adaptation by Mississippi Mud of Chekhov's SEAGULL set in LA in summer 1969), and developed by research into videos, virtual explorations, books, pictures, interviews, films, conversations, and sites. Fifty percent of all ticket sales on the 2016 tour will support charities including Big Cat Rescue and Stand Up For Gus.SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN as a solo piece now becomes the first part of a developing new Trilogy surrounding this actress and icon. Sharon Tate was born in Dallas, Texas in 1943, and murdered in the summer of 1969 at the age of 26 in the infamous Manson murders. Part Two of the Trilogy, CHARLIE AND SHARON, takes on this American tragedy in an imaginary meeting between Charles Manson and Miss Tate following August 9, 1969, when she was murdered by his followers. Part Three, SHARON AND ROMAN, is an imaginary conversation between Miss Tate and her husband, international director Roman Polanski, about their life before and after her death. Casting is complete: Jen Danby as Sharon Tate, Daniel Delano as Charles Manson, and Andy McCutcheon as Roman Polanski. The complete Trilogy is being directed by Obie-winning, Tony-nominated, and Drama Desk Winner Austin Pendleton. Part Two of the Trilogy will receive its world premiere June 2016 in NYC, and Part Three dates in the 2016-2017 season will be announced. SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN takes you on a ride as it celebrates this actress, model, and style icon, and it is a love story.

THE SUNSHINE BOYS
Theatre 29!
1/15-2/13/2016
Kings of comedy, Willie Clark and Al Lewis, aka The Sunshine Boys, haven’t spoken to each other in years. Once a fantastic duo, the two have since been locked in a feud for years. When CBS call for the vaudevillian greats to be re-united for a nostalgic History of Comedy, past grudges resurface as they take center stage once more. Ageing ailments aside, can this legendary double-act overcome their differences for one last show? Old rivalry and vintage hilarity abound in this classic comedy of showbiz and friendship.

DIRTY DANCING
Pantages Theatre
2/2-2/21/2016
Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage is an unprecedented live experience, exploding with heart-pounding music, passionate romance and sensational dancing. Seen by millions across the globe, this timeless love story features the hit songs "Hungry Eyes," "Hey Baby," "Do You Love Me?" and the heart-stopping "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life." London's Sunday Express says "This crowd-pleasing stage adaptation hits the jackpot!" It's the summer of 1963, and 17 year-old Frances "Baby" Houseman is about to learn some major lessons in life as well as a thing or two about dancing. On vacation in New York's Catskill Mountains with her older sister and parents, Baby shows little interest in the resort activities, and instead discovers her own entertainment when she stumbles upon the staff quarters when an all-night dance party is in full swing. Mesmerized by the raunchy dance moves and the pounding rhythms, Baby can't wait to be part of the scene, especially when she catches sight of Johnny Castle the resort dance instructor. Baby's life is about to change forever as she is thrown in at the deep end as Johnny's leading lady both on-stage and off with breathtaking consequences.

MARY'S WEDDING
MALIBU PLAYHOUSE
1/28-2/21/2016
“One of those theatre experiences to which you can wholly give yourself over with no fear of disappointment. If this production had been a film I would have watched the whole thing all over again the minute it ended.” – New York Theatre Wire. “Mary’s Wedding” premiers January 28 – February 21, 2016 at the Malibu Playhouse, officially launching their 2016 season under the helm of Jeremy Skidmore, world-renowned theater director and formerly Artistic Director of Theater Alliance in Washington, D.C. Written by Stephen Massicotte and performed by Hallie Cooper and Mark Jude Sullivan, “MARY’S WEDDING,” produced and directed by Skidmore, is a brilliant, romantic and historical dream play. When Mary and Charlie unexpectedly find one another sheltered in a barn during a thunderstorm, a tentative love is born. But the year is 1914, and their first flirtations ignite right as World War I begins to engulf the western world. Nevertheless, their bond begins to fracture the hard rules of time as their story unfolds across vast prairies, on the decks of silently sailing war ships, and entwined with the chaotic trenches of Europe's no-man's land. Mary’s Wedding captures an extraordinary moment of innocence and courage with rare sensitivity and beauty.
