Bright Star is hopeful, communal and lasting. The show's journey is one of how our individual stories weave together as part of a collective humanity. Riverhead Faculty & Community Theatre is incredibly proud to produce the Long Island premiere of this excellent piece of spirited theatre written by actor/performer Steve Martin and musician Edie Brickell. Director Justin D. Harris and the show's production team believe this is a special production that has a natural home here on the east end. The strong sense of community the show exhibits resonates throughout our hometowns and families. Based on a true story, Bright Star tells a sweeping tale of love, community and transformation, with toe-tapping bluegrass music that will leave audiences rapt.
