Miguel Zenón, the Grammy-winning saxophonist and composer, joins Houston's Kinetic Ensemble for a one-night-only performance of Yo Soy La Tradición on January 10, 2026. This world premiere features a suite of eight pieces for saxophone and string orchestra inspired by Zenón's 2018 album, which explores various cultural traditions from Puerto Rico. The evening promises a unique blend of jazz, classical, and folk music, showcasing the talents of both Zenón and the Billboard Chart-topping Kinetic Ensemble. Each piece within the suite highlights a different Puerto Rican cultural influence, making for a memorable musical experience.
