Send in the clowns! Part fairy tale, part vaudeville and part circus, this dazzling phantasmagoria of an opera will delight your ears and eyes with spectacle and high spirits. A prince is condemned to wander the earth in search of three oranges, the contents of which will make you look twice at your Minute Maid in the morning. We last produced this opera 14 years ago and it is one of our most requested revivals.
Music by Sergei Prokofiev.
Based on the play by Carlo Gozzi.
Sung in English with English titles projected over the stage.
