What a wonderful way to begin your holiday weekend than to be inspired by a rich evening of jazz featuring well known, well-respected jazz musicians from all over the island of Hawaii. Jazz Master BILL NOBLE will lead his quartet to open the evening. Saxaphonist, flutist, composer, arranger and teacher, Bill has been entertaining Hawaii's residents, visitors and dignitaries for many years. Bill's Quartet will include Keyboardist LOREN WILKEN, Bassist BRIAN MC CREE and Drummer BRUCE DAVID. His set will be followed by Extraordinary Young Talent KYLE MATSUDA. Only a senior in high school, KYLE is considered to be one of the most young outstanding jazz pianist in the country. He will be joined by ANDREA LINDBORG on trumpet/flugelhorn, MICHAEL SURPRENANT on drums and BRIAN MC CREE on bass. Sensationally Hot PELE'S PASSIONS will culminate the evening. Well known for playing original compositions by their acclaimed trumpeter ANDREA LINDBORG based on the story of Pele, the volcano goddess, their compilation of songs mix Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms with warm jazz melodies and killer R&B vocals. Led by MICHAEL SURPRENANT on drums and percussion, PELE'S PASSIONS also features JESSE SNYDER on Tenor Saxophone, flute and percussion, and LUKE CLEBSCH on guitar, harmonica, bass and vocals.
