PARIS - Franco-American musical theatre company AMT Live will reprise the critically acclaimed Next Thing You Know as part of the troupe’s 2015-16 “Off-Broadway à Paris” performance series, following notable Paris productions of Edges and The Last Five Years.

This reprise follows a successful limited run last season of the premiere of Joshua Salzman (music) and Ryan Cunningham’s (book and lyrics) work in France. They are also the creators of I Love You Because and recipients of the prestigious Jonathan Larson Award.

Next Thing You Know is the story of four New Yorkers as they laugh, love and drink their way through the big questions that face all young dreamers who wake up in the city that never sleeps. The Paris production of this contemporary musical blends New York cabaret style with British pub theatre at a site-specific location: the underground Parisian pub theatre at The Highlander, located in Paris’ Latin Quarter steps away from the Seine. Paris’ first site specific musical has earned rave reviews from French theatre journalists with Regard en Coulisse, Musical Avenue, L’oeil d’Olivier, Tony Comedie and the London-based Musical Theatre Review. Audience reviews on BilletReduc ranked the production #1 in Paris Musical Theatre.

The cast features an international, Paris-based group of artists led by Tolgay Pekin (Turkey), assistant director Julia Ledl (Austria), pianist Raphael Sanchez (France): Lauren Berkman (USA), Marion Préïté (France), Frédéric Brodard (Switzerland), Vinincius Timmerman (Belgique/Brésil), Quentin Bruno (France/USA), and Miranda Crispin (USA/France), Devon Graves (USA). The show is accompanied by a live orchestra and will be performed in the original English language version.

Known for producing the first Off-Broadway style musicals in Paris and for hosting the city’s premiere musical theatre open mic soirée, AMT Live extends a familiar welcome to the audience by inviting the public to have a drink with the cast after the show. Doors open 30 minutes before show time.
