Paris Opéra Cancels Performances of ROMEO ET JULIETTE and PARSIFAL Following Technical Incident

The Paris Opéra has cancelled several performances at the Opéra Bastille following what is being described as a "technical incident" that has affected a stage fire door at the theater.

Paris Opéra management has requested an investigation into the failure of the stage equipment, including cables that operate the fire doors on the stage. Performances on April 26th, 27th, 28th, and 30th have been cancelled to continue the investigation as well as preserve the safety of its patrons and performers.

The cancelled performances include the April 26th and 28th performances of Roméo et Juliette and the April 27th and 30th performances of Parsifal at the Opéra Bastille. The Paris Opéra is offering refunds and ticket exchanges for affected patrons.
